Having abdominal procedures like liposuction or tummy tuck does not mean that you should not or cannot have future pregnancies. However, with the changes that the body experiences in pregnancy, we do recommend if possible that you hold off on cosmetic abdominal surgeries until you are done in order to maintain your best result, but it is not mandatory.

Liposuction is used to remove fat from areas of the body that haven't responded to diet and exercise. 

n addition, liposuction can sometimes be used for breast reduction or treatment of gynecomastia.

When you gain weight, fat cells increase in size and volume. In turn, liposuction reduces the number of fat cells in a specific area. The amount of fat removed depends on the appearance of the area and the volume of fat. The resulting contour changes are generally permanent — as long as your weight remains stable.

After liposuction, the skin molds itself to the new contours of the treated areas. If you have good skin tone and elasticity, the skin is likely to appear smooth. If your skin is thin with poor elasticity, however, the skin in the treated areas may appear loose.

Liposuction doesn't improve cellulite dimpling or other skin surface irregularities. Likewise, liposuction doesn't remove stretch marks.

Given the anesthesia (local with intravenous sedation) and the small incisions, most people can plan on being back at work in a matter of 2 to 3 days. There is always some bruising and swelling, which is helped by wearing a compression garment for a few weeks following surgery. Your appearance continues to improve for up to 2 to 3 months following surgery.

There probably isn’t an area in plastic surgery that has seen more advances than with periorbital surgery. We ask patients to refrain from driving and bending over for 24 hours following surgery, but after that most normal activities are OK.

In addition to helping sagging brows, a browlift improves the skin excess below the eyebrows. This is an area that an eyelid lift alone will not help. A browlift can also improve the wrinkles of the forehead and between the eyebrows.

Botox and filler are two very different things. Botox is a brand name for a drug which is injected into muscle in order to temporarily paralyze the treated area. This is useful in Plastic Surgery for softening the appearance of age-lines and also for preventing their formation or worsening. Filler products are used much like spackle for a wall—they are injected under the skin to take up space where there are depressions or lines. Each product can be very useful on its own, or sometimes they work together in combination to help decrease the appearance of skin aging.
